The concept

History, in the historical sense, sometimes means something heavy and boring for some people. The idea was to make it more fun and accessible to a wide audience. The concept stems from the playfulness that can be associated with the verb "build". The idea is directly related to the theme of the year.

 

Formatting

The cubic form is present in many construction sets. Despite its simplicity, this form offers many possibilities.

Once so inclined, the cube offers more opportunities and a greater usable surface. The form this angle was therefore determined as a basic grid for the development of typography.

An exhibition of monumental comics in the Festival Histoire et Cité

 

In this original exhibition specially conceived for Les Rencontres de Genève Histoire et cité of cartoonists (Alex Baladi, Ibn Al Rabin, Nadia Raviscioni) freely interpret historical texts provided by researchers at the University Department of History Geneva (Françoise Briegel, Alessandra Passaseo, Pierre Sanchez). Specially tailored to the architecture, these monumental cartoons can be discovered on the first floor of Uni Dufour of 14 to 16 May 2015.
