November 2017

Swiss Cinematography Award ( worth CHF 11 500.–) goes to Florian Berutti for the camera work in Premier amour (Switzerland 2017) by Jules Carrin (Student at the Cinema Department of HEAD – Genève).

Jury's statements of the Swiss competition:
Coupling impressive camera movement with beautiful compositions, the cinematography in this film is not just aesthetically pleasing but a key narrator of the story as well. Stylistically, the imagery enhances the themes of love and conflict set amid the wild and forlorn French countryside.

Members of the Jury of the swiss competition:
Sam Morill (USA) ; Director of Curation, Vimeo
Anna Purkrabkova (CZ) ; Programme coordinator, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival
