Children's workshop as part of Design Heads: creating tomorrow
A fun and creative workshop specially designed for children! Students from the Re/Production option (Bachelor of Visual Arts), accompanied by artist and designer Garance Grand-Leger, will be exploring two fascinating techniques for drawing on textiles: natural dyeing and applied patterns.
Using a square of fabric, participants will cut, assemble, draw, spray, rinse, wring and heat to create magical designs in a palette of colours ranging from grey to blue, red, yellow and much more.
At the end of the workshop, each child will leave with their own creation: a unique square of fabric, ready to become a tray, a picture or even a flag.
Practical information:
Pairs of adults and children (aged 2 and over) Workshop suitable for all ages.
Free and without registration, subject to availability. 10 pairs at a time, duration 45 min.
A tutti-test table will allow the simply curious to try out the technique without doing the whole workshop.
