Cabines Minima Cinéma

November 2015

“Objects of curiosity, the booths of Minima Cinema were deployed in the heart of cities throughout Switzerland to celebrate the origins of cinema and its nomadic nature, and the ethos of the the Festival Tous Ecrans, dedicated to reaching the greatest number of people possible, cinephiles or simply curious, not forgetting those who would be unable to visit it”. Minima Cinema distilled the cinematic experience to its minimal expression. The design intentionally disassociated itself from the archetypal to stress the experiential.

The spaces were sculpted by the student group offering them the possibility to physically experience and assess their own design decisions and leave their own mark. These modules were then fibre-glassed to weatherproof and reinforce them to withstand a month of festival activities across Switzerland.
