“A bras-le-corps,” the first feature film by the alumna of the film bachelor Marie-Elsa Sgualdo, has been nominated seven times at the Swiss Film Awards.
Marie-Elsa Sgualdo, alumna of the Bachelor in Cinema at HEAD – Geneva, presents her debut feature film, "A bras-le-corps". The film follows the journey of fifteen-year-old Emma in Switzerland in 1943, as she embarks on a difficult path to freedom after experiencing sexual assault.
Her film, which had its world premiere in September 2025, is now nominated in seven of the eleven categories at the Swiss Film Prize, namely:
- Best Feature Film
- Best Screenplay
- Best Supporting Role
- Best Film Scire
- Best Cinematography
- Best Film Editing
- Best Sound
The awards ceremony will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 7:30 pm at the Zurich convention center.
