Festival de Cannes
The Cinema Department at HEAD – Genève is pleased to announce a strong presence at the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival through several projects and talents from its network of alumni, lecturers and students.
The Bachelor diploma film ALWAYS WANTED TO BE GOD, NEVER WANTED TO BE GOOD has been selected for the Festival de Cannes’ official Cinef selection, dedicated to films made by film school students from around the world. Each year, the section highlights only a small number of works selected from several thousand international submissions.
This year’s edition of the Festival also highlights several members of the HEAD Cinema Department community, featured across different festival sections and industry events, further reflecting the international reach of its alumni and lecturers within contemporary filmmaking.
The Cinema Department is also pleased to announce the selection of the project LE DERNIER AFFÛT for the Focus SCRIPT programme of SFC | Rendez-vous Industry – Cinéma de Demain, an international initiative dedicated to supporting emerging talents from film and visual arts schools.
