- Matil Vanlint, "V", ASWE Prize – Association of Swiss Women and Empowerment and Vahabzadeh Foundation Prize
Victim, Violence, Victory. What would our bodies look like if our traumas left visible marks? How, through clothing, my practice and the notion of collectivity, have I found my place — my way of embracing monstrosity and mutation? How, through the "we", have I found comfort? This collection shares a part of my journey. A manifesto for life. As Jack Halberstam says: "There is a form of activism in being happy and celebrating the joys that persist when the only images of us that are reflected back to us are those of misery."
- Ewen Danzeisen, « Meet the Crows », La Redoute × HEAD Prize
Silhouettes made to be worn, not to be seen. Nothing to look at, but much to observe. The back and shoulders define the space, in a quietly imposing posture. Supple yet assertive garments. A spectrum of blacks that does not invite, yet nevertheless draws the eye. So come closer, and meet the crows.
- Léon Narbel, " Noms, prénoms", Bachelor Bongénie Prize
This project offers adaptable and durable garments made from natural and second-hand materials. My aim is to prioritise everyday comfort whilst creating pieces designed to last, evolving over time. I try to maintain simple and timeless lines, whilst incorporating subtleties in the pattern-making – between softness and protection, between pyjamas and armour.
- Asma Haddad, « Beyna Benkine », Prix Image / Direction artistique remis par Le Bal des Créateurs & Kevin Murphy
Through this collection, I have chosen to express a story, my story, by combining two wardrobes that are familiar to me: Tunisian craftsmanship and sportswear. Beyna Benkine extracts practical clothing from its sporting context to integrate it into everyday life through a non-Western and identity-based prism, breathing new life into traditional craftsmanship between memory and modernity.
- Mélanie Schiewe, « Pretty In Pink », Prix de la Commune de Collonge-Bellerive – Soutien à la production
My collection is a personal exploration of clothing and the perceptions it evokes. It stems from an intimate observation: the way I am perceived changes radically depending on whether I wear pieces associated with the masculine or feminine wardrobe. This duality has led me to question the gendered codes of clothing and their social impact. My project seeks to blend key elements from both wardrobes to create a wardrobe that reflects my identity, whilst deconstructing these stereotypes with humour and a touch of caricature.
