As part of the LUNDIS - LIVRES programme, we are delighted to invite you to meet Hélène Frappat, who will be presenting her book Le Gaslighting ou l'art de faire taire les femmes, published by Observatoire 2023.

Writer, translator and film critic Hélène Frappat examines the place of women in fiction and the American film industry in her latest two books: Trois femmes disparaissent (Actes Sud 2023) and Le Gaslighting ou l'art de faire taire les femmes (éd. de l'Observatoire 2023). The author of documentaries and radio dramas for France Culture on Hedy Lamarr and Mary Shelley, among others, Hélène Frappat has also published several novels. Here she looks at the phenomenon of gaslighting in film narration.
