MIDIS ARCHI - Eric Bapteste

Conférence

As part of the MIDIS ARCHI lecture series, you are cordially invited by the Interior Architecture Department of HEAD – Genève to attend Dr. Eric Bapteste conference, which will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Dr. Eric Baptese, Research Director at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), conducts work primarily in the field of life sciences, where he develops an approach attentive to the dynamics of interaction, adaptation, and evolution. His perspective, “based on a transversal reading of complex systems,” leads him to explore correspondences beyond his original domain.

Invited to speak in a context of interior architecture, he proposes, through the lecture “All Intertwined: possibilities for encounters between architectural and evolutionary considerations?”, “a shift in perspective,” applying his analytical frameworks to the question of inhabited spaces.

Author of several books, he develops and deepens “an original reflection on living systems and their modes of organization,” making his research accessible to a broader audience. His publications thus contribute to “disseminating an open and interdisciplinary scientific perspective,” in line with his interest in connections between different fields of knowledge.
