A practical introduction to the main intellectual property tools useful to creators: copyright, trademarks, designs, patents, and trade secrets.
Using examples from the watchmaking and jewelry industries, we will see how these tools can be used to protect, promote, and defend a creation, as well as the role of some key contracts for young creators.

Marc-Christian Perronnet
Intellectual property lawyer with a passion for creativity and entrepreneurship. Based in Geneva, he supports designers, studios, and brands, particularly in the watchmaking and jewelry sectors, in Switzerland and internationally, as an advisor and mediator. He is the legal advisor to the Association Romande des Métiers de la Bijouterie (ASMEBI) and a member of the Académie du Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG).
