--------------
In 2025, presented for the first time outside the premises of the Geneva Contemporary Art Center—currently undergoing renovation—the exhibition will take place in the Le Commun space, made available by the City of Geneva.
Since 1955, the City of Geneva has awarded two grants to support young contemporary artists in the visual and applied arts. Worth CHF 10,000 each, they are aimed at artists under the age of 35 and offer them the opportunity to develop their personal research or pursue studies, for example abroad. In parallel with the City of Geneva's overall reflection on artists' remuneration, their working conditions, and their recognition as professionals more generally, it has been decided to award each artist invited to exhibit a lump sum of CHF 3,000 for production costs. These grants are an important part of the City of Geneva's commitment to promoting and supporting artists.
The Berthoud, Lissignol-Chevalier, and Galland grants are an important part of the City of Geneva's commitment to promoting local creators. The exhibition is the result of a collaboration with the Geneva Contemporary Art Center, which supports artists' projects and offers a unique visitor experience tailored to each edition.
