The Swiss Art Awards competition, held annually since 1899, is the oldest art prize in the world.
The accompanying exhibition, organized by the Federal Office of Culture, provides an overview of current art and architecture in Switzerland, and is a valuable reference for art professionals and enthusiasts alike. The Swiss Art Awards jury is made up of seven members of the Federal Arts Commission, selected by the Federal Council, plus five guest experts.

The Kiefer Hablitzel│Göhner Art Prize competition is open to artists residing in Switzerland or enrolled at a Swiss university under the age of 30. It is organized in close collaboration with the Swiss Federal Office of Culture and the Ernst Göhner Foundation. A Bachelor's degree is required to enter the competition.
