Master Media Design at Democracy Week
As part of the Graduate Institute's “Stories of the future: youth shaping the role of artificial intelligence in democracy” research project, the Master's Media Design program is presenting an interactive installation at Democracy Week.
The installation, called Symbiosis, imagines a future of democracy, where citizens, the living and AI help each other to meet tomorrow's challenges. In this installation, you take on the role of a Swiss citizen in 2050. By scanning the various artifacts present in the installation, you feed the database of the “Mayor of Earth”, an AI that proposes laws and helps the population address major ecological and digital issues. Based on the reintegration of electronic waste and mycelial networks, this AI is composed of recycled digital objects and living organic matter.
