Exhibition by Lou Masduraud as part of the Prix Culturel Manor 2023 of Geneva, at Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art)

For Manor, art and young generations play a key role in our society. The group of Department Stores supports the emerging Swiss art scene by offering a platform to young artists through the Prix Culturel Manor. Awarded each year by a professional jury alternately in 12 different cantons, this Prize covers different fields of artistic creation: painting, sculpture, photography, video art, performance, installations, visual arts, and is recognized as one of the major one in the contemporary art field in Switzerland.

This year, Lou Masduraud,(master in Fine Art 2014), winner of this Prix Culturel Manor, is exhibiting throughout the summer at MAMCO in Geneva.

Lou Masduraud, artist from Geneva, analyses, modifies and stages collective habits in such a way as to reveal the relationships of power and desire that underlie them. Combining sculpture, installation and performance in a formal language that borrows from the grotesque as well as the poetic, the artist creates phantasmagorical worlds like so many alternatives.
