Switzerland has a long tradition of artist-run spaces as a method of learning and transmitting knowledge. In Geneva, this is especially true with Ecart, Forde and Cherisshhh. Labzone Vzszhhzz has invited Julien Ceccaldi and Juliana Huxtable for an exhibition at Live in Your HEAD, as a starting point for a discussion around questions related to abstraction and figuration in painting at school. The students present works that experiment with ways in which these issues can cross the boundaries of medium, not only in pictorial representation but also in their transposition into digital forms, and publishing.
