Juliana Huxtable & Joe Heffernan have been performing and playing together since 2013. Their collaborations began in the context of performance art and have evolved into its current iteration as the bandTongue In The Mind. Their first release will come out this winter. They will give a concert on April 1st at 6pm at Live in Your Head. They will perform compositions and songs from their forthcoming release, includingTrain, a poem set to musical composition made with their friend and often collaborator Ahya Simone. They will discuss their work and Juliana will discuss her poetry and its relation to their music at  Maison Rousseau & Littérature the day after on April 2nd at 5pm, as well as the influence of literature, music and philosophy on their musical world.

Juliana Huxtable is an artist, writer and american musician, she lives and works in New York. Her multidisciplinary pratice involve the body, identity and internet, as well as music and text. She had numerous exhibitions at New Museum, MoMA PS1, Reena Spaulings and Project Native Informant à Londres. 

Joe Rinaldo Heffernan is an artist, singer/songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Northwest Arkansas. He has performed his solo work and collaborated with Juliana Huxtable in prestigious venues all over the world including Moma (NY) and Performnace Space.

Organized by Jeanne Graff & Labzone* Vzszhhzz: following her work around the underground art scene with Semiotext(e) and 186f Kepler, writer Jeanne Graff has invited the students to think collectively and build a show with their artwork developped throughout the year and by inviting artists Julien Ceccaldi, Juliana Huxtable & Joe Rinaldo Heffernan.
