The students of the Master’s in Interior Architecture of HEAD – Genève present the exhibition The Impossible Showroom at the Milan Design Week 2022, from June 6 to 12, 2022, at the "House of Switzerland" in the heart of Milan in the Brera district.

The Impossible Showroom unveils a new typology of virtual reality environments specifically created to exhibit design objects. Developed by students of the Master of Arts in Interior Architecture (MAIA), the different VR spaces showcase a selection of furniture pieces by Swiss designers. The visitors will experience spaces that go beyond the visual vocabulary of physical representation and discover iconic furniture in unexpected ways. To create these unique showrooms, the group was inspired by the materiality of the objects, the ethos of their designers, and the visual identity of the associated brands.

The virtual spaces offer an interpretation of the worlds of Peter Zumthor, Fritz Haller, Pierre Jeanneret, Hans Coray, Atelier Oï, Big Game and Hannes Wettstein.

HOUSE OF SWITZERLAND
The "House of Switzerland" is a temporary networking and communication platform that promotes Switzerland's visibility and strengthens relations with European partners. Inspired by the pop-up store concept, it offers a temporary meeting place in an international context.
The "House of Switzerland" is a joint project of "Team Switzerland", consisting of Presence Switzerland, the Swiss Embassy in Rome and the Swiss Consulate General in Milan, in collaboration with the strategic partners Switzerland Tourism, Switzerland Global Enterprise/Swiss Business Hub Italia and Pro Helvetia.
During Milan Design Week 2022, the House of Switzerland is dedicated to Swiss design and will host projects from several Swiss universities and internationally renowned Swiss design companies. www.swisshousemilano.it
