The forms of water in the artistic investigation practices.
A proposition of Aurélien Gamboni

With Mabe Bethônico, Charles Heller & Lorenzo Pezzani, Pauline Julier, Raphaëlle Müller, Daniel de Roulet, Janis Lew Schroeder, Marie Velardi, A tale as a tool.

Designed as part of the Festival Histoire et Cité, Shifting Baselines presents the investigation practices led by a selection of regional artists, in connection with the festival theme "Stories of Waters". The exhibition aims to see how water works during the investigative process, to examine the issues it raises and the different forms through which it manifests itself.

Source of life and death, vector of stories or contamination, elusive and moving element, constitutive of constantly moving boundaries... While considering its agency, water is no longer a simple subject more or less manageable and exploitable, may it be a resource or a support, but it makes an impact. It becomes a full-fledged actress in a global scene where converge some major challenges of our time, whether it is the effects of environmental change or migration policies.

March 22nd at 5pm: "Les eaux sentinelles", writing workshop with Sandrine Teixido (A tale as a tool) by registration only
March 29th at 5pm  Guided tour
