Journey undertaken by the Departement Cinéma / cinéma du réel to Phnom Penh has demanded the students of Geneva and the Audiovisual Centre of Bophana, founded by Rithy Panh, to make films engaged with the realities of the Cambodian capital.
Perceive the other in its irreducible difference beyond everything was part of the ambitions of the workshop led by Fernand Melgar for four weeks.
Eight films were completed in Geneva in the presence of Bophana students, thanks to collaboration with the FIFDH and RTS, Radio Télévison Suisse. HEAD - Genève, DDC in Phnom Penh, the RTS , the FIFDH and the Bophana Center have pooled their resources for the development of cinematographic activities in Cambodia, involving memory issues, social and cultural importance. This films that are all true stories run by necessarily subjective views will be presented for the first time on March 7, 2016 at the Espace Pitoëff - Theatre Pitoëff.
