Nicolas Nova is a professor at HEAD – Genève. His fields of study are ethnography, the history of digital cultures and design research. After studying life sciences and cognitive sciences at the University of Lyon, he prepared a thesis and obtained the title of Doctor of Science at l’École polytechnique de Lausanne. He is the author of Beyond Design Ethnography (SHS Publishing, 2014) and Futurs ? La panne des imaginaires technologiques (Les Moutons Électriques, 2014). He has been a searcher at the Art Center College of Design de Pasadena, California and visiting professor at the Politecnico de Milan. He co-founded the Near Future Laboratory, as well as the International Conference on Innovation, Lift, for which he was curator for ten years.
