Atelier Textile

The textile atelier, commonly known as the machine room, is a shared workspace dedicated to all students in the Fashion, Jewelry, and Accessories Design department.

Professional equipment
The workshop provides a variety of professional machines for carrying out creative projects in the field of fashion:

  • sewing machines, flat stitchers, zigzag stitchers, overlockers, and coverstitch machines;
  • eyelet machines, heat-sealing machines, embroidery machines;
  • presses and irons.

Specialized spaces
In addition, two rooms are specifically equipped:

  • Leather workshop: flat stitching machines, barrel stitching machines, trimming machines, and specialized tools.
  • Knitting workshop: “home” knitting machines of various gauges and functions.

The fabric library
Students can purchase technical materials (pattern paper, iron-on adhesives, cardboard, bias tape, elastic) directly from the fabric library, as well as a wide selection of fabrics from partnerships and leather.

Sewing mannequins
To support their creations, students can borrow Stockman sewing mannequins (male or female, several sizes available) and other specialized models for the duration of their studies.

Technical support
A technical assistant is on site on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. She maintains the spaces, advises students on their projects, and assists them in using the machines.
