Co-curator of the 32nd Biennial of São Paulo in 2016, Sofía Olascoaga develops her work at the crossroads of art and pedagogy by implementing spaces for critical reflection and collective action.

For this workshop, she proposes to the students to follow in the research project that she is currently doing around the experience of Ivan Illich in the CIDOC (Intercultural Documentation Center) in the 1970s.

From these surveys, she questions the influence of the latter in the field of intellectual and artistic practices in Mexico and in the world, and more generally on the tensions between utopias and disenchantment within the Mexican community models of recent decades.
