Laténium

February 2023

Design of a cultural mediation offer in the form of a treasure hunt aimed at children for the Laténium, the archaeology museum of the city of Neuchâtel. After a documented visit of the premises, the students propose a narrative concept that responds to the different themes and objects of the museum. The game is designed to accompany the visit in the museum spaces as well as for independent use. The two winners of this mandate are Cassandre Tornay and Olive Reitz with their project Ma petite collection du Laténium, a card game illustrated with the different objects and pieces of the museum.

"Play, search and find!
This card game offers several ways to discover the Laténium's collections in a playful and independent way. Designed as a traditional game of 54 cards, it is illustrated by a selection of objects presented in the permanent exhibition. Simply select a card and go in search of the illustrated object throughout the museum! Whether you're with your family, a class or a group of friends: draw a card and explore the museum's spaces, in search of the illustrated object! After your visit, the game can be used for a game of battle, dibs or why not, poker!"
