The ambition of the Chair in Watch Design is to contribute to making Geneva an international benchmark in watch design training, alongside the city and prestigious partners such as the GPHG. As part of the long-standing partnership between the GPHG and HEAD - Geneva, each year students from the Chair in Watch Design exhibit their diploma projects in one of Geneva's museums, at the same time as the brands competing in the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG).

This year, 5 diploma projects will be on display:
SenseiWatch, from Lucile Beney (Bachelor 2023)
"By fusing social design and watchmaking expertise, I've created a product that meets the needs of blind and visually impaired users. I'm committed to the social and ethical design approach, which allows each individual to be represented.".

Alvea, from Lisa Dutheil (Bachelor 2023)
"Inspired by the symbolism of the daffodil and the tulip, the Alvea collection aims to raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer."

Chi, from Karina Bezruchenko (Master 2023)
"Chi is a watch that blends the mechanism with the poetry of a breath. It accompanies the wearer in his or her meditation: it offers a sensory relationship intended to synchronise breathing with the movement of the discs on the dial in a gentle and calming way."

Evolution, from Loïc Quan (Master 2023)
"This collection is inspired by childhood and its vast creativity. Based on a drawing by a primary school child from Cartigny, it evolves, mutates and gives birth to a watch with a simple, comprehensible and structured design."

Brume, from Gaëtan Gavard (Master 2023)
"My goal is to create an independent watch brand that aims to establish partnerships with NGOs and foundations dedicated to the cause of animal welfare. As I am deeply attached to birds, I have chosen to work with an association that protects them: BirdLife."
