ISSUE N°1

Printed version

The Geneva University of Art and Design is launching the first issue of ISSUE magazine in print format.

The twenty contributions reflect the richness and diversity of the social issues that affect art and design schools today. These are questions that shape artistic and design practices and anticipate the challenges of the contemporary world.
This first issue offers a selection of essays published over the last two years. The table of contents brings together essays on subjects that at first glance seem unrelated: eco-pedagogy, trans history, the materiality of digital technology, domestic animals, and feminist practices in artistic conversations.
However, bringing them together reveals a fundamental common ground. It highlights how, from environmental issues to gender identities and technological changes, our relationship with others continues to question our relationship with the world.
