Set design for the Grand Prix Töpffer
Set design for the Grand Prix Töpffer
Since 2018, students enrolled in the Bachelor's program in Illustration and Visual Communication at HEAD – Genève have been designing and creating the set design for the Grand Prix Töpffer exhibition, which celebrates comic book and illustration creation. This project, carried out during a workshop with the winning author, offers them a unique opportunity to put their skills in visual storytelling, spatial design, and visual communication into practice, while engaging with the works of internationally recognized professionals.
Each edition engages students in the central challenge of scenography: creating an immersive and coherent journey that highlights the worlds of the authors on display, while offering an attractive and accessible experience for the public. Through this work, students explore the relationship between image, space, and narrative, and actively participate in the cultural mediation of contemporary comics.
