The second edition of the HEAD Cinema Festival concluded with great success, bringing together professionals, students, and the public around a rich and diverse programme, celebrating 50 years of film education in Geneva.
Once again, this event demonstrated the vitality and excellence of Geneva’s educational system, with over 1,000 international festival selections for films by our graduates and students.
Engaging with today’s contemporary issues
Among the topics addressed were essential reflections on the future of cinema. Distinguished guests such as Nadine Adler Spiegel, Co-Director of the Cinema Department at the l'Office fédérale de la culture, joined the discussion, along with captivating masterclasses led by key figures including Amandine Gay, filmmaker and author, and Elene Naveriani, filmmaker and 2024 Swiss Film Award Alumnae.
Workshops and panel discussions with sustainability experts (Ecoprod, green consultants) offered concrete pathways towards a more responsible and innovative cinema, all supported by a livestream broadcast that extended the event’s reach far beyond the venue.
