KICK OFF

September 2024

Studio led by Line Fontana and David Fagart (Fagart & Fontana)
Assisted by Jutzeler, Marie Schild

Semester 1, for first-year students, begins with the KICK-OFF and is followed by a long-term workshop project on a theme initiated by the teaching team.

The KICK-OFF is a short and intensive exercise that takes place over a three-week period. The goal is to apply the theoretical knowledge and practical tools acquired during this time in order to analyze an architectural project, particularly an iconic architect’s house. The aim is to capture its essence through selected fragments, a model, a text, plans, sections, and construction details.
