HEAD welcomes you to the Journées Européennes des Métiers d'Art (JEMA 2025), and invites you to plunge into a world where tradition meets innovation.
The 2025 event is an annual rendezvous for Geneva's craftspeople, with some thirty stands, introductory workshops and conferences devoted to these exceptional crafts and their sometimes age-old skills.
Among the workshops on offer, HEAD is organising an introduction to sewing techniques and offering you the chance to create a textile piece under the expert guidance of its Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design students.
From cutting to assembly, you will discover the precise and meticulous gestures of this craft that combines creativity and technicality.

Passing on know-how: the craft of saddlery and leatherwork at Hermès
The Hermès culture puts people at the heart of its projects. A saddler and harness-maker since 1837, Hermès puts its expertise at the service of the equestrian world, combining technical expertise, performance and comfort for horse and rider. The fruit of teamwork between our partner riders, the saddle expert and the craftsman, each Hermès saddle comes from the hands of a single craftsman. Passed down from generation to generation, the company's saddlery expertise combines tradition, modernity and innovation to give life to made-to-measure saddles. Charly Palmieri, artisan saddler Meilleur Ouvrier de France, and Carine Thiollay, Director of the Hermès School of Craftsmanship, invite you to join them in a conversation about training to become a saddler and leatherworker, about the passion for the craft and how it is passed on.
