The Photography Pool plays a transversal role, engaging with the use of photography across all practices of art and design. Composed of a teaching team, it provides both technical and conceptual instruction and supports students throughout their learning journey.
Through individual meetings and various course formats, the Pool assists students at every stage of their photographic process, from shooting to installation. Beyond its pedagogical and technical mission, the Photography Pool also positions itself as a space for research and reflection on contemporary image practices, in dialogue with artists, photographers, and other visual experts, as well as with other Pools such as the Publishing and Printing Pool.
Its role is to:
– transmit basic skills (tutorial course program),
– extend knowledge through a professional approach,
– supervise projects involving the use of photography,
– consider the documentation of work,
– support candidates preparing for competitions and applications.
The team:
– responds to the needs of students who wish to practice photography,
– offers a teaching program particularly in the technical field,
– supports theoretical reflections concerning image production.
Infrastructure and Equipment
– 2 fully equipped photo studios,
– 1 black-and-white darkroom,
– 1 workspace with calibrated screens and self-service computers.
