HEAD – Genève, Geneva School of Art and Design is one of the leading institutions, at international level, for tertiary training in Art and Design. Featuring some 700 students, it offers a broad range of training programmes at BA and MA level: Visual Arts, Cinema, Fashion, Jewellery and Accessory Design, Visual Communication, Media Design, Interior Architecture, Space Design, etc. The school has also established itself as a major stakeholder on the Geneva cultural scene.

Main features of the position:
In close cooperation with the teaching staff of the MA in Media Design and under the supervision of the Head of the Visual Communication Department, the applicant will:
- Design and implement an education and research programme for the MA in Media Design
- Coordinate and monitor teaching staff and modules (courses, workshops, conferences, collective projects)
- Teach Media Design at MA level (courses, Master’s Thesis seminars and tutorials)
- Develop partnerships with national and international institutions and companies (commissions and services)
- Develop cross-disciplinary projects, in particular with the fields of engineering, healthcare and life sciences, economics and service industries
- Participate in research projects
- Develop relationships with the professional and cultural world at national and international level
Profile:
- Graduate diploma at MA level from a higher education institution in Multimedia, New Media, Interaction Design or any related field
- At least five years’ professional experience in the field of Media & Interaction Design
- Open to interdisciplinary cooperation, in particular with the fields of Social Sciences, Contemporary Art, Engineering (Information & Communication Technology, Robotics, Biotechnology, etc.)
- Curious, innovative and interested in research
- Good teamwork skills, ability to foster knowledge sharing and exchange and to carry out collective projects in a changing environment
- Ability to carry out projects, managerial and administrative skills
- Excellent language skills in both French and English. Ability to teach in both languages (French/English)
