Aesop showcases

March 2017

HEAD students realized two shop widows for Aesop, in Geneva and Zürich

Aesop  is an Australian brand, famous for its high quality care for the face, hair and body. It is also recognized as innovative and experimental in the development of its shops and showcases, developed both by big names as well as by young talents in design and interior design.

Aesop decided to collaborate with HEAD students to set up two shop windows in Zürich and Geneva. For a week, 15 students in interior architecture, accessories and space and communication, imagined, designed and built the two shop windows. They proposed different but coherent compositions for the two stores. The workshop was led by Simon Husslein (designer), with Cohann Rémy (interior architecture alumni, HEAD) and Wendy Gaze (interior architecture assistant, HEAD). The facilities are visible during the month of March at these addresses:

Aesop Geneva, Rue de la Fontaine 15, CH-1204 Geneva
Aesop Zürich, Oberdorfstrasse 2, CH-8005 Zürich

Shop in Geneva - Copper Blossom
Concept developed by: Anaïs Youssefi, Julia La Mendola, Nina Hemmerijckx
A gracious installation inspired by nature. This work is inspired by the orderly aesthetics of Ikebana - the Japanese art of floral composition – as well as Aesop's carefully thought-out approach to facial care.

Shop in Zürich - Absorption
Concept developed by: Alice Proux, Lara Grandchamp
Within raw materials, students decided to present the new Aesop + product line. Wood for the skin; brass as the shimmer of the product absorbed by the pores. The two materials form the dynamic curves of a body: exposed to the climate, protected by Aesop.

Projet led by: Simon Husslein, assisted by Cohann Remy and Wendy Gaze
Students: Inès Besson, Elise Chauvigné, Paulo Jorge Dias, Olivia Finello, Lara Grandchamp, Nina Hemmerijckx, Julia La Mendola, Manon Lepezennec, Jerôme Nager, Alice Proux, Souche Clara , Julie Suner, Shih Hua Tseng, Anaïs Youssefi, Deborah Zancanaro
