Micro and nanostructured materials

Miniaturisation, thin layers and nano-structuring of materials play an extremely important role in today's technology.  

In the Materials, Optics and Nanotechnology (MON) group, we develop and use all instrumentation that can structure and measure materials at the nanometric scale, miniaturise systems and develop thin layers for different applications.

Thin Films and Microfabrication

The Laboratory of thin films and microfabrication is specialized in the deposition (PVD) and analysis of thin films, as well as the microfabrication of structures through UV photolithography processes.

Applied optics at the micro- and nano-scale

The Laboratory of applied optics at the micro- and nano-scale is active in the fields of biomedical imaging, optical spectroscopy, and digital holography.
