The Hôpitaux universitaires de Genève (HUG) is the largest public healthcare organisation in the canton of Geneva. The HUG's extensive real estate is managed by highly qualified staff.

In this context, the BIM (Building Information Modelling) methodology offers many advantages, both for project planning and for asset management. After having analyzed if and how to integrate this methodology into their construction and facility management activities, the HUG asked HEPIA to develop a specific course and train their staff.
Issues addressed in this training course are the following:
Three BIM use cases have been developed in small workgroups. Use cases addressed issues mentioned above and considered the specific needs of a healthcare environment.
