Final evaluation of the project "Cross-border programme for the conservation and sustainable management of Saharan ecosystems in the Termit region, Niger and Egey, Chad".
The CMS (Convention on Migratory Species) has been implementing a project funded by the European Commission since 2007 to protect the Termit Massif and Tin Toumma Desert region in eastern Niger, an ecosystem containing the last representatives of the great Saharan fauna (addax, gazelles, mouflons, desert cheetah, etc.). The service requested by CMS is aimed at developing a method of evaluation combining analysis of results in the ecological field (conservation of ecosystems and species), as well as in the socio-economic field (participation in management and benefits for local populations), coupled with an analysis of project governance.
