Complementing the work carried out by HEPIA in 2023 and 2024 to characterize the vegetation of the CEVA, this mandate aims to assess the potential for tree planting along the Voie Verte (Greenway) in order to provide more shade along its route.
The study concerns the section between Foron and Eaux-Vives station, excluding the gabion surface. It consists, initially, of assessing the potential shade provided by new plantings on hard surfaces and grassy areas. It focuses on the shade provided throughout the day during the summer months, with trees ranging in height from 5 to 15 meters.
The second stage involves assessing the effect of shade on existing green spaces along the Voie Verte, highlighting the potential impact on the biological quality and surface area of the Voie Verte.
