The installation of vegetation cover in vineyards and orchards offers important advantages for the soil and biodiversity. These covers can, however, generate competition for water and nitrogen requirements, with negative effects on the crop. The objective of this applied research is to target a set of plant species that preserves the advantages of cover while minimizing the possible disadvantages. To this end, pilot mixtures were developed and tested in a network of plots.
