In recent years, the issue of global warming has become a major challenge. The Municipality of Delémont has been very sensitive to issues related to sustainable development and to this particular problem for many years and has recently initiated a reflection process in order to integrate all issues related to global warming into its projects in a much more active way.
There is a real need to develop a global and coherent strategy in the form of a Climate Plan, which will make it possible to select a series of flagship projects to be developed in the short and medium term.
In this context, the City of Delémont has asked HEPIA and HEIG-VD to assist in the development of this master plan.
A first public session with participatory workshops in groups took place on September 17, 2020 and allowed the presentation of the state of the art, the discussion of the diagnosis and the listing of a first series of objectives and flagship projects. The team of consultants and the City then worked on the proposal of flagship projects by thematic area.
An online questionnaire was sent to the entire population in October 2021, presenting the flagship projects and allowing respondents to select the most relevant ones. The results of the questionnaire were used to consolidate the draft Master Plan and to select the flagship projects to be further developed in a future operational phase.
