As part of the Cantonal Climate Plan 2030, the canton of Geneva aims to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 60% by 2030. This is an intermediate step towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. In this context, agriculture is a sector facing several constraints: ensuring competitive production costs in a highly competitive market, producing quality food products and adapting their production tool to meet the necessary ecological transition.
The ASACE research project focuses on the energy transition of greenhouse farmers, and therefore on solutions that allow greenhouse farmers to maintain the performance of their production tool and their profitability while making them carbon neutral during operation.
In view of the context and the issues presented, this project is an opportunity to quantify and qualify the following aspects:
