Additive manufacturing and laser technology laboratory

Additive manufacturing and laser technology laboratory

This laboratory is dedicated to innovation in the field of advanced manufacturing processes.

It is equipped with laser technologies, additive manufacturing machines for polymers, and metal additive manufacturing systems. All of these resources enable the development of processes adapted to the shaping of complex materials, with a particular focus on high-precision applications.

One of the main areas of focus is micro-DED (Directed Energy Deposition), based on the injection of powder into a laser beam. The laboratory uses experimental facilities for the detailed study of powder feeding and targeted injection, with a view to achieving optimal control of the process at the micrometric scale.
