Areas of expertise

The Energy, Climate, Environment, Architecture group's activities take place in theoretical and applied research, software and equipment development, the provision of services, expert appraisal/consulting and basic and specialist training.

The main themes of the research include:

  • Heating and the building shell
  • Energy renovation
  • Territorial energy planning
  • Microclimate and urban comfort

External services, notably including:

  • In situ measurements
  • Expert appraisal & diagnostic of buildings
  • Consulting & digital simulation

As well as participation in basic teaching through training courses delivered at HEPIA, the group's team also takes part in numerous specialist training courses such as the CAS Urban Territories and Energies as part of the MAS EDD-BAT (MAS Energy and Sustainable Development in the Built Environment) as well as training courses for IDC concession holders and eco-advisers.

Lastly, the team also contributes to making free data available on the climate via the CityFeel project and the development of software available to architects and engineers.
