SANS® Essentials Bootcamp Style
This course is an intensive introduction to all the essential aspects of information security. The range of topics extends from information security policy to cryptography to network security to operating system security. Additionally, the course prepares the student to take the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) exam.
This course is 6 days long, with hands-on bootcamp sessions in the evening (46 hours total class time.)
Certification
The Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) GSEC certification is a widely recognized information security credential for technical information security professionals. Earning the GSEC certification requires passing a proctored examination, which is not administered as part of the course. For more information on GIAC certifications, see http://www.giac.org/
