The Haute Ecole de Gestion de Genève of the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland is offering a unique degree program in International Business Management.
This program is entirely taught in English and covers the fundamental business management subjects, with an international and intercultural flavor. Final year elective courses cover very specific areas of international business that are particularly relevant to the professional environment in Geneva.
The Haute Ecole de Gestion de Genève (HEG) is located at the heart of a unique international crossroads and is ideally positioned to offer a Bachelor's degree in International Business Management. This Bachelor degree gives you a privileged access to the region’s key international players such as international companies, multinational corporations as well as the internationally oriented governmental and non-governmental organizations. The region also boasts numerous small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that have international or internationalized activities, and will welcome your skills.
The entire curriculum is taught in English and a minimal level is a prerequisite for admission (see Admission conditions). Nonetheless, your English proficiency develops naturally as a result of the program’s total immersion. In addition, oral and written English communication courses are part of the curriculum, in order to improve your mastery of the language for business purposes.
The HEG is home to students from many different cultural horizons, representative of the city of Geneva and the region. Moreover, the HEG has exchange agreements with many European, American and Asian business schools and universities. This network not only brings exchange students to the HEG from everywhere for one semester or one year, it also offers students some international mobility through an exchange program abroad.
During your studies at the HEG, your international education is strenghtened by this cultural wealth and international dimension.
Courses in the International Business Management program include Leadership, Economics, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Organization, Logistics, Communication, Law and Finance. All the generalist courses are given within a multicultural approach and incorporate an international dimension.
During the final year of the curriculum, elective courses cover specialization areas, such as commodity trading, emerging markets (in particular related to Asia), or international organizations and international marketing and sales.
