2nd Swiss Nutrition Research Symposium
What an inspiring day!


The 2nd Swiss Nutrition Research Symposium, organized by the Task Force Swiss Research Network – Healthy Nutrition and the Geneva School of Health Sciences, brought together nearly 90 researchers, clinicians, and students passionate about advances in nutrition.

Structure of the day

- Methodological issues and Innovation in Swiss nutrition research
- Mechanisms in nutrition
- Barriers and facilitators of healthy and sustainable eating

Development of the Swiss Nutrition Research - Healthy Nutrition:

Early Career Research Prize: CHF 500.-

  • Purpose: to recognize scientific excellence in nutrition research by early-career scientists in Switzerland for the advancement of nutrition science
  • Candidates: PhD students, postdoctoral fellows up to 5 years after PhD, or young investigators under 35 years.
  • Eligible original research: must be carried out in Switzerland or in collaboration with a Swiss institution.

Nine candidates applied for the prize.

Winner: Eugenia Pertziger

  • Title of the project: “Dietary live microorganisms and fermented foods in Switzerland: associations with cardiometabolic health and insights into biological mechanisms through metabolomics.”
