Le Prof. Dr. Thomas Desplanches est sage-femme échographiste et docteur en épidémiologie. Il occupe le poste de professeur assistant à la Haute école de santé de Genève. Ses recherches se concentrent sur l'amélioration de la qualité des soins autour de la naissance. En 2024, il a obtenu au sein du laboratoire GENMIR un financement du Fonds national Suisse de la recherche scientifique (FNS) pour son projet Swiss Peristat. Il travaille également en tant que chercheur associé avec l'équipe de recherche OPPaLE.
