Culture, sports, volunteering and involvement
Movement Week – April 13 to 17
The campus is picking up the pace! During Movement Week, the HES community is invited to take an active break and (re)discover the joy of moving at their own rhythm. Sports introductions, walking, running, dancing, Pilates, light-contact boxing, team games, and even soft mobility: a varied program designed to break up sedentary habits and share enjoyable moments together.
This event is organized by the Sports Department of UNIGE, in collaboration with the Service des Affaires étudiantes HES-Genève. The departments psychomotricité (HETS), physiothérapie (HEdS) and the Espace Santé de la HES-SO Genève contributing to the event by offering activities throughout the week. Activities will take place across several sites UNI as well as on three campuses HES : HETS, HEdS and HEG.

Full program: CARAC 2026
The practice of sport or cultural activities contributes both to wellbeing and academic success. It allows you to find accomplishment in a context other than that of your studies.
Cultural activities
Activities include salsa, street jazz, tango, adobe/design, cinema, sustainable cosmetics, urban vegetable gardens, digital arts, instruments, theatre and improvisation. Most courses are free or offered at a reduced rate.
You can also enjoy free tickets to various shows, exhibitions and concerts. The cultural service publishes a weekly newsletter to keep you informed.
Staff members and alumni of the HES-SO Genève are also eligible for cultural activity services.
Sports
While most courses are free and do not require registration, some are reserved for students who have registered and have a limited number of places.
Staff members and alumni of the HES-SO Genève are also eligible for sports activities.
Involvement
Student involvement is crucial both for students and for the HES-SO Genève, whether through volunteering, academic or institutional contributions. Key to thriving in your life in Geneva, student involvement can have a considerable impact on integration, gaining experience, success in your studies, as well as on the life of the school as a whole. This involvement also encourages exchange and dialogue with school administrators.
Student associations
Take advantage of the numerous resources (advice, practical sheets, writing models, etc.) and the interassociative network set up by the Fédération des Associations Etudiantes de la HES-SO dedicated to all HES students involved in the associative environment!

Open Badges student involvement
Are you formally involved in a student association, elected to the "Conseil de concertation", in a Participatory Domain Council, in a participatory body of the HES-SO Genève or selected as a HES mentor for the Academic Horizon program?
Take advantage of the “Open Badges” developed by the HES-SO to recognize student engagement in the broad sense. At the end of your activity, you can also request a badge allowing you to promote the skills acquired, particularly with employers.
