Sport - art - studies

Put in place by the Département de l'instruction publique, de la formation et de la jeunesse (Department of Education), the measures for sport, art and studies enables top-level athletes, dancers and musicians to benefit from support throughout their studies, from primary school through to universities of applied sciences (HES) and universities.
At the HES-SO Genève, the scheme offers students such facilities as :

• An individualized study plan.The possibility of extending the duration of studies
• The distribution of examinations and tests throughout the year (as far as possible)

Selection criteria

For artists:

• Be enrolled in a vocational training program leading to certification, and have a recognized artistic activity at the same time
• Have a professional project in a recognized artistic field

For athletes:

• Priority: Gold, silver, bronze and elite Swiss Olympic Cards and national Swiss Olympic Talents Cards
• Being recommended by the cantonal trainer or technical sponsor for the discipline
• Practising a sporting discipline recognised by Swiss Olympic
• Meet the sporting criteria established by the University Sports office in collaboration with the sport associations

Admission process

Schedule an appointment with the Head of Study Coordination at your HES to submit your request for a personalized study plan. The HES will then inform you of the decision regarding your request.
