The Haute école de musique de Genève is structured in the form of departments and courses, each of which has their own competencies in terms of teaching, research and dissemination of knowledge: the department of keyboard instruments, the department of orchestral instruments, the department of the voice, the department of music and movement, the department of composition and theory, and the ethnomusicology and pedagogy courses.
There are numerous activities that connect the departments to each other (ensemble performances, work amongst composers, improvisers and interpreters), who are also engaged in multi-disciplinary collaborations with other schools.
