Medical consultation for students at HUG

If you need to see a general practitioner, two dedicated services are available to students at HUG. These services can provide medical prescriptions, referrals (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, psychotherapy, etc.), orders for medical tests (blood work, urine tests, imaging, etc.), or medical certificates.

Télémaque (HUG@HOME)

Télémaque offers a general medicine video consultation within three working days. As this is an initial teleconsultation, you may be directed to additional healthcare services if further medical follow-up is required.

Consultations take place remotely via smartphone, tablet, or computer. A stable internet connection is essential.

Consultations are available in French or English.

Cost: CHF 30.–

Need Financial Assistance?

If your resources are limited, solutions are available. The cost of consultations related to your health should not be a barrier.

To help you cover the costs of medical consultations at the HUG, as well as any specialist consultations to which you may be referred, HES-SO Genève offers specific health access support, in partnership with the University of Geneva, under certain conditions. This financial support also applies to consultation fees with Télémaque and to those prescribed by Télémaque.

Check the eligibility criteria, submission deadlines, and the list of required documents before submitting your application via the University of Geneva’s online form.

Detailed information on the financial aid available to you is also available on the dedicated Student Affairs web pages.
