Yann Chateigné
Yann Chateigné is a History and Art Theory teacher as well as a researcher at the HEAD – Genève (HES-SO). From 2009 to 2017, Chateigné administered the HEAD’s Visual Arts department, heading up its programme for LiveInYourHead, the school’s curatorial institute; Fieldwork: Marfa, an international research residency in Marfa, Texas; and the HEAD / ISR Summer Academy at the Istituto Svizzero di Roma. A curator and critic, he has been Head Curator of the CAPC Musée d’Art Contemporain in Bordeaux (2007–09); curator at the Plastic Arts Delegation (2001–07) and at the Centre Pompidou / Musée National d’Art Moderne in Paris (2000–01). His recent projects include 1977 (L’Onde, Vélizy, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Centre Pompidou, Paris, 2017), the Biennale de l’Image en Mouvement (Centre d’art contemporain Genève, 2014, with Andrea Bellini and Hans Ulrich Obrist), La vie matérielle (Fondation d’entreprise Ricard, Paris, 2013), Panegyric (Forde, Genève, 2012), The Mirage of History (Pacific Cinémathèque, Vancouver; and Kaleidoscope Project Space, Milan; Whitechapel Art Gallery, London, 2010–13). His texts have been published in Artforum, Frieze, Mousse and Spike, and included within several thematic publications and monographs.
